What is ICL?

ICL is a cricket league run by private management. The league is run parallel to the Indian Premier League (IPL) managed by BCCI. The first edition had 6 teams. Players participating in this league have been banned by several cricket boards of their respective countries as this is an unsanctioned private league. As a result of this, most of the players who play in the tournament are either retired international players or those who do not have great chances of making it to their national teams.
